Newk’s is a little cafe in Tyler TX in a very big facility. It sits right behind Carino’s Italian Grill and while Carino’s may take 45 minutes to get your food out Newk’s will usually only take 5 – 10 minutes.
While Newk’s is fast in getting your food to you they are also cooking up some pretty tasty stuff. Newk’s does not hide the fact that they rely in large part on a microwave (they do not actually use microwaves) or toaster oven to heat your food as the name “Newk’s” seems to say it all.
Newk’s is very convenient, fast, and delicious and during lunch time and after church is hugely popular. Newk’s Express Cafe has an oddly similar name to Cafe Express. The two different chains have similar salad choices and gourmet salad garnishment counters.
Newk’s was started by a former head guy of McAllister’s Deli and seems to be strategically placing their chain in every popular city McAllisters has had success in.
If I had to pick between Newk’s, Cafe Express, and McAllisters I would go with Cafe Express as my first choice as their salads are quite a bit more enjoyable. My second choice would be Newk’s because I like their sandwiches better than what McAllister’s has to offer. My 3rd choice would be McAllister’s Deli, unless I need free wifi internet, because their salads are gross, their sandwiches are ok, and when you order chili they put about two strands of cheese and 3 paper thin onions on top? Chili ain’t no good if it don’t have no cheese and onions on it!

The name Newk’s is not to suggest that we use microwave’s to cook our food, it is short for the founders last name Newcomb. In fact, we do not have a single microwave in the building. I would appreciate it if this could be corrected as it is misleading and certainly doesn’t project a good impression when you think of fresh food fast. Thanks Sincerely John Albriton”
I and many others first thought when seeing the restaurant constructed that it was some type of microwave reference. I am afraid your brand name will always have this unintended confusing meaning. You should go give your brand guy a kick in the pants. Anyway I like your restaurant. Sorry not every article on the internet about your company is 100 % positive but wouldn’t that look a little misleading if everything people wrote looked like a sales pitch?
Finally, I haven’t tried their chili over at Newk’s yet but I did see a couple eating it and they both had their own order. The chili had tons of cheese all over it and I assume they held the onions. Now if only Newk’s could copy McAllister’s chili bread bowl and I think they would be a successful traitor.

There is another wireless internet company that competes with them called DCTexas Internet and they also boast some very fast speeds and low latency. Low latency simply means that any downloads you do will be very quick. If you were to compare the latency of a satellite internet service as you would get with Hughes net it would be a night and day difference. For instance, if you attempted to watch a funny youtube video with Hughes net you might as well queue it up and go eat a sandwich before it will be ready. With East Texas Wifi you will be able to watch the movie immediately almost as if you turned on TV to watch a show you like.
Stay Away From Hughes.net Satelite Internet Service!
WARNING!!! If you live in Tyler Texas or around the area avoid Hughes net at all costs! They will have you commit to a contract while wireless internet service companies like East Texas wifi will put you on a month to month plan. Once you are locked into the Hughes net contract you will quickly discover that the internet service is very slow and reminiscent of old dial up service back in the olden days. You will pay a high price for this lousy internet service too. It simply is not worth it and everyone I have spoken with about Hughesnet in Tyler have told me just how much they hate their internet service.

If you need a good place to go to have a free wireless internet connection for your business meeting in Tyler Texas than try McAlisters Deli. They have good food like their delicous chili bowl or turkey sandwich and it is delivered fast. This deli also caters to businesses and events all the time. Next time you need to talk over some business while eating lunch it is hard to beat McAlisters in Tyler Texas.
I am not a big deli sandwich person but if I had to recommend one sandwich from McAlister’s it would be the berry Turkey sandwich. I think it goes by a slightly different name but you will be able to spot it on the menu. The chili bowl is still the best thing they have as they serve it in a home made bread bowl and the bread it is made with is some of the most delicious bread I have had. I think the bread bowl actually tastes better than most rolls I have been served at Tyler restaurants.
The chili that is served at the McAlisters in Tyler tastes homemade and not that disgusting stuff in a can. I have been to Tyler restaurants that when a customer orders chili they will break open a can of chili and heat it up in the microwave. I don’t know if anyone reading this has had chili in a can but it is very bad stuff and the meat tastes more like tofu or soggie bread than real chili. McAlister’s will not serve this type of food product and if you are a chili lover I think you are going to like my suggestion.
If chili is not your think McAlisters in Tyler also has a really good bacon chedder spud. This potato is the best on the menu and you can ask for sour cream and any additional toppings that you would like. Sometimes I will order the chili bowl and the bacon cheddar spud and eat them both.
Finally I would like to point out that they have the booths divided in a way to give each table privacy. 
With the privacy and free wifi internet you will find McAlisters Tyler Texas to be a very good location for any type of meeting such as a business meeting or just a place to sit down and finish some homework while eating lunch.
