Q. Where do I vote in Tyler Texas?

A. Tyler polling places are usually listed in your local newspapers in the weeks before the election.

Call your County Clerk, County Elections Administrator, or political subdivision conducting the election in order to find your polling location or visit http://www.sos.state.tx.us for a possible link.

If you do not wish to call the Smith county clerk you can just show up at a voting center and they will tell you where to go.

I usually have no idea where to vote and just show up at the first place I hear you can vote.

I then am edumucated on where I should vote.

I am out here in precinct 52 and will be driving into town looking for political signs, banners, and American flags near school buildings and churches. That usually does the trick.

When you need a root canal you go to the dentist. When you need new brakes on your car you go to the mechanic. Why then, when you find the need to buy a home, would you even wonder whether or not you need a real estate agent? We go to experts when we need something because they are experts. If we were trained in the field or it was a simple field, there would be no need.

But real estate and the process of buying a home is far from simple. If you are considering purchasing a home in Tyler, then you really should give some very serious consideration into finding an experienced realtor. Tyler, Texas realtors know up to the minute information about the Tyler housing market and are very familiar with every step of the process. They can anticipate problems that could arise and help you deal with them if they do come up. They can also avoid those problems altogether because they’ve learned how to.

Tyler, Texas realtors know how stressful buying a home can be. A good realtor will patiently answer all of your questions, take the time to thoroughly explain the next step of the process, and return calls in a timely manner. You shouldn’t worry about your realtor contacting you too often or with properties you aren’t interested in; a good realtor will listen to your ideas and respect them. Trying to do this alone is a recipe for disaster, but you don’t have to take that road. Call a qualified Tyler, Texas realtor today.

Boo at the Zoo! Halloween at Caldwell

October 30th, 2010

In the last few years since Tyler TX Directory has come under new ownership, a lot has been written about Tyler’s Caldwell Zoo. The zoo has been a worthy point of pride for Tylerites since its founding in 1953. Ever since that time the institution has grown steadily, all the while offering any number of educational programs to area youth and families.

The East Texas climate makes spring and fall the best times of the year to visit the zoo. What better way to spend a beautiful autumn weekend then packing up the boy and strolling through the park like- grounds of the Caldwell Zoo? Well, it seems I wasn’t the only one to whom this thought occurred today. Saturday, October thirtieth was the zoo’s Boo at the Zoo Halloween party. Everywhere there were parents and children in every imaginable Halloween costume. Zoo employees where around every bend handing out candy to young visitors, and letting patrons get up close and personal with animals more in keeping with the Halloween spirit, particularly snakes, spiders, reptiles and other critters.

I don’t exactly remember my last visit but it seems every time I go I find something new. Whether the exhibits I find are actually new or simply new to me, I can’t be sure but it always adds to my experience to observe the zoo’s growth. This time I discovered (or re

discovered, whichever the case may be), the Penguin tanks. I don’t know too many folks who would fail to be entertained by the show they put on. I have to say however that my favorite stop remains the Chakula Café. In cooler weather it’s an ideal spot to sit, read and take in the view of the African exhibit. Add a good cup of coffee to that by the way and you have the makings of a pretty fine day.

Today’s event was a great idea. It gave parents a memorable way to celebrate Halloween with younger children, in a safe family friendly environment. Even better, it’s educational! For those who missed Boo at the Zoo, don’t worry. You haven’t missed autumn. There’s plenty of time to enjoy fall at the Caldwell Zoo. For more info on the zoo and its upcoming events, visit their web site at www.caldwellzoo.org, or see any of the many other articles on this site by clicking on the Zoos listing to the right of this article.

Tyler Texas Haunted House

Terror Nights Haunted House

Tyler, TX 75702

Someone named Sheri wrote a really negative review about this haunted house in Tyler on Google Places, she said

“My experience to your haunted house was definitely a nightmare. I was pushed out the exit doors and got to spend the night in the ER with 30 stiches”

I have not been to this haunted house before but it seems to be sponsored by a ton of big companies including the Spirit Halloween costume store.

A veteran actor and employee posted a 5 star positive review back stating that her review of this haunted house is a lie.

So we have a one 1 star review and one 5 star review from an employee, hmm which one should we listen too?

The Terror Nights Haunted House is touted to be a very safe experience by the veteran employee responding to Sheri.

The employee mentioned that this year they installed a top of the line fire safety system. Terror Nights has safety exit doors in every room and they train their employees to keep a watchful eye while scaring you at the same time.

Although this employee says Sheri is a liar the employee also states that they are sorry if the incidents she claimed happened really did happen.

The employee goes on to say some of the things in her review however ring false.

I am a safety conscience person and would personally like to know what in Sheris review is false. It would be helpful to know if the 30 stitches was needed because of a gash from the Terror Nights Haunted House or something else.

My conclusion in regards to all this injury drama is that I will definitely be scared if I go through Terror Nights Haunted House regardless how good or bad the acting and costumes might be.

Tyler, Texas MLS

Tyler Texas MLS

Tyler Texas MLS

If you think you know the Tyler, Texas MLS system, then think again. MLS stands for multiple listing service, and is the standard system used by most listing agents across the country. There is no one central MLS system, however, so features may vary from area to area. The Tyler, Texas MLS system is the best way to find homes that are on the market, however most of the time homes that are for sale by owner are not listed here.

You can access portions of the MLS listings online using real estate searches like http://www.tylertxhomesearch.com/, but you won’t find all the information you need here. Certainly it can be used as a starting point for your Tyler, Texas home search, but you will still need to contact a realtor to get all the information available. For that reason, it is a good idea to find a real estate agent from the very beginning so that you aren’t wasting time looking for one once you’ve found your dream house. The time it takes to settle on a realtor could be just the right amount of time for another buyer to swoop in with an offer—get your realtor, then look.

The additional information available to realtors in the Tyler, Texas MLS may vary depending on the listing agent, but may include items such as tax assessor’s records, survey records, and building records on file, number of days on the market, and original listing price if the home has been for sale for some time. All of this information could be useful to you.
