Companies and Intellectual Property Insurance

Intellectual Law

Intellectual property insurance is pretty interesting and many who aren’t involved with a large Tyler Texas company have never heard of it. Basically, just as you insure your car or house in case of an accident, intellectual property insurance can insure a company both for getting sued for copyright infringement and going after someone suspected of stealing an idea from the company.

Sometimes, the second coverage (for going after an individual who stole your intellectual property) is a separate package and is called a pursuit policy. This is because it helps to pay the legal expenses it takes to pursue an alleged offender.

Intellectual property insurance can make the difference between the life or death of your Tyler business! If the threat exists that you could find yourself in an argument over intellectual property rights, then you should undoubtedly equip yourself with intellectual property rights insurance.

Even if you are the creator of a copyright, it can still be hard to hold onto it without intellectual property insurance. If you have to go to court to defend your patent and have no intellectual property insurance, you could very well spend all of your money just defending what is already yours.

An intellectual property insurance plan is very simple. If someone tries to steal your idea or accuses you of stealing theirs, the insurance will kick in and pay your legal fees for defending yourself.

Linda R Hoak, Attorney at law

February 10th, 2010

Linda R Hoak has an attorney office located at 218 N. College Ave., Tyler, Texas 75702. She is a family lawyer for divorce and/or custody. I know these type of things are not easy to talk about and marriage is intended to last, but the reality is some marriages don’t make it. Linda Hoak is a good lawyer, because she cares for you personally and will always give you the big picture. She runs you through all the instances and prepares you for the worst, in case you need to go through that.

What impressed me most about her is that she was so willing to spend a lot of time answering all the questions I had. It was so good to become informed about the things that could happen when your marriage is not working and you have a child together. When there aren’t children involved, it was much easier to get a divorce. There are so many things to consider about a child, it is complicated. Linda Hoak encourages you to work on your marriage, but like I said sometimes you must divorce for the safety of your child or yourself. She was so informative about what the law in Texas will allow.

I was truly glad I went, the service was great and everyone welcomed me and were very helpful. She is very professional and honest. I was worried as to how do you know how to trust, when it comes to getting help on my situation. I found her on line from the Internet and decided to go and have a talk with her about my concerns. The visitation would have cost $50.00 which is not a lot of money, if your marriage is in danger and you could possibly lose your children.

One of the nice things was that while I was talking to the receptionists she told me that one of the attorneys policies is Fridays are free. So if money is an issue and you need a lawyer, try to go talk to her on Friday. Finding a good lawyer is hard, especially to find someone who really cares about you and your family. I was so impressed at how well informed she was and was not in a hurry to get over, even though she knew I wasn’t seeking a divorce lawyer, but just needed some legal advice.

You can rest assured that whatever you tell her is confidential. She knows your family is your life and people work hard for their money. She will listen to all you express to her and she won’t offer you advice that will harm your family. Her areas of practice are: divorce, child custody, child support, adoption, CPS cases, wills, medicaid, planning, paternity, and also estate planning. Her website describes in detail the things available. If you need a lawyer, take look at her site.

Chapman’s Auction

January 29th, 2010

Chapman’s Auction is located at 14986 Hwy 64West, Tyler, Texas 75704. They have an auction on Thursday and Saturday evening. They begin selling at 7 p.m. and are usually finished before 10 p.m.

Anyone can come to buy in the auction, you just have to get a bidding number to bid on each sale. There are junk dealers who bid, but you can still get things cheap, because they are looking for a bargain to resale in their shop.

They have household items, appliances, furniture, toys and antiques. The best buys occur early when they line up the bargain boxes and auction the whole box. You can find some real treasures for a cheap price.

The auction building can hold approximately 300 people if it was full, but most of the time they have a crowd of 150. They have a snack restaurant, where you can purchase food to eat. The auction sets up long rows of tables and chairs, you can eat and bid in comfort.

This is a fun experience and comfortable setting, plus you can find some great bargains if you are a good bidder. This is a good place to take items to sell and get something for them. You can take them a day or so before the date of the auction. You don’t have to be present for the sale, but you can go pickup your money after the auction has closed. They charge a small percentage for selling your items, but you have a large audience to have an opportunity to sell them.

The Rose Garden – Tyler TX

January 19th, 2010

There is a rose garden in Tyler, TX that has been a part of the history of this cities making. Since 1952 this municipal rose garden as served as a tourist attraction that brings in most of the business Tyler has gotten over the years, excluding oil.

Tyler Texas Rose Garden

Tyler Texas Rose Garden

Each year there is a festival, a queen crowned, duchesses chosen and tourists from far and wide bringing with them the business this town prepares for every year. Hotels are sold out, the roads are clogged and the restaurants are full every evening. What a paradise for money making and beauty seeking.

But here is my concern. Why is the garden so special? Roses are pretty, I like them, but I’ve seen prettier ones. I’ve walked through the garden and I’m not impressed. It’s not even the roses that are the problem. Its the landscape. If my artistic eye serves me right I think the design could be more appealing than we’re letting it. The fountains are typical and 60’s. The lay out doesn’t say anything new and there are no surprises. Maybe if I looked from a bird’s eye view there would be something intended to be eye-catching… but I’m not a bird and neither is anyone else paying money to see it.

Where is the vibrant life of color and excitement a garden is supposed to engulf me with? My favorite gardens draw me in, invite me to look close, and adventure my way through. But this makes me feel like I’m still in the office and have not escaped. Does anyone know what I’m talking about? Tyler Rose Garden If this legend of the Rose Garden is to continue then can we re-focus? I’m not ungrateful to the people who designed and made the garden and tradition to begin with, but I think its time to either move on or make over.

Tyler SKYVUE

January 17th, 2010

Outdoor movie drive in, Tyler TX
Tyler SKYVUE is our drive-in theater that is located at 10713 Hwy 69 North, Tyler, Texas 75706. Just three minutes north of Tyler’s Loop 323 and four minutes south of Lindale’s Interstate 20. The cost is $6 per adult and $4 per child that is 5-12 years old…younger than that are free. It’s a great place to go if you want to watch a movie, but in a different way. You get to watch two movies and they are newer releases. I enjoy going because you can take your own chairs and sit in the outside. You can comment on the movie, if you want and won’t get in trouble by talking in a closed room. You can also take whatever snacks and drinks you want, which saves you money. They have a place where you can buy snacks and drinks if you would rather than bringing your own.

Movies theaters are a great entertainment and how about a different experience with a drive-in theater? Going to an outdoor theater is very fun and interesting. You have to wait until it gets dark outside before they start the movies, which is usually somewhere around 7p.m. or so. They usually end by midnight or later because its two movies you are watching….so you get two for the price of one. Skyvue is a great place for you to go out and have some fun with your friends and/or family and not worry about going broke while you do it.

Skyvue isn’t far off, whether you live in Lindale or Tyler, it is worth the drive to see a movie. This makes a great gift…to pick up some friends and take them as a group to see two movies for the price of one, we did that and ended up having a blast and decided it was worth doing more.
