Earl Drott is a well experienced personal injury lawyer in Tyler Texas and we have heard from several people that he is a good guy. Earl is a close neighbor to us and having talked to him once before I found him to be a friendly easy to get along with guy. He is very active in the Tyler community and volunteers his time and resources to local youth. You may have even seen one of Earl Drott’s billboards as they seem to be up in about every corner of the city of Tyler.
Earl is a state board certified lawyer which is quite impressive as most all attorney ads you hear on the radio and TV say something to the effect of, “Not licensed by the state board of attorneys.” This cant be said of Earl Drott as he is both licensed and certified by the state board of attorneys to practice law in Texas.
One type of personal injury law that Mr. Drott is experienced in is cases where the client has had exposure to Asbestos. You may have bought an old house in Tyler Texas and started remodeling it to flip. You may have broken up pieces of asbestos insulation tile, or asbestos laminate flooring. These asbestos fibers stir up and travel around in the air and you might have breathed in some of these fibers. Another common way to get asbestos exposure is by working in the HVAC industry when asbestos insulation was all the rage. HVAC technicians would cut this stuff up and breath in asbestos almost everyday.
If you were a victim of asbestos exposure you could potentially have mesothelioma, which is one of the most deadly forms of cancer. There are millions of dollars available for those effected by asbestos exposure. We highly recommend you give Earl Drott a call if you have been exposed to Asbestos in anyway. Earl can consult you on your possibilities to file a claim and receive money because of your potential likelihood of eventually having or currently having mesothelioma cancer.
Mesothelioma is a form of cancer that is almost always caused by exposure to asbestos. In this disease, malignant cells develop in the mesothelium, a protective lining that covers most of the body’s internal organs. Its most common site is the pleura (outer lining of the lungs and internal chest wall), but it may also occur in the peritoneum (the lining of the abdominal cavity), the heart,[1] the pericardium (a sac that surrounds the heart) or tunica vaginalis.
Most people who develop mesothelioma have worked on jobs where they inhaled asbestos particles, or they have been exposed to asbestos dust and fiber in other ways. It has also been suggested that washing the clothes of a family member who worked with asbestos can put a person at risk for developing mesothelioma.[2] Unlike lung cancer, there is no association between mesothelioma and smoking, but smoking greatly increases risk of other asbestos-induced cancer.[3] Compensation via asbestos funds or lawsuits is an important issue in mesothelioma.
The symptoms of mesothelioma include shortness of breath due to pleural effusion (fluid between the lung and the chest wall) or chest wall pain, and general symptoms such as weight loss. The diagnosis may be suspected with chest X-ray and CT scan, and is confirmed with a biopsy (tissue sample) and microscopic examination. A thoracoscopy (inserting a tube with a camera into the chest) can be used to take biopsies. It allows the introduction of substances such as talc to obliterate the pleural space (called pleurodesis), which prevents more fluid from accumulating and pressing on the lung. Despite treatment with chemotherapy, radiation therapy or sometimes surgery, the disease carries a poor prognosis. Research about screening tests for the early detection of mesothelioma is ongoing.
