Chuy's Mexican Food in Tyler TX

Chuy's in Tyler TX

Chuy's Tyler TexasThe riddle of the day, what does Tyler have dozens of but keeps building? If you guessed Tex-Mex restaurants, then you got it right. Chuy’s restaurant is expected to open in Tyler April of this year. Well what makes Chuy’s any different than the rest of the Tex-Mex restaurants in Tyler? Why wouldn’t we stick to eating at Jalapeño Tree or Mercado’s restaurant? Chuy’s promises a new, fun, and different environment. Chuy’s restaurant started in an old barbeque shack in Austin, Texas. As two young men, Mike Young and John Zapp used all their money to open this first restaurant; they had no more than $20 to decorate. As you can imagine they had to use what they could find. Chuy’s restaurants still use this decorating technique. At some Chuy’s restaurants you might find tire rims hanging from the ceiling or old traffic signs hanging on the wall. They have a signature item in every restaurant which is the Elvis Shrine. One of the most important things about the restaurant is that they make a fun restaurant that makes you feel right at home.

The feel of the restaurant is fun, but more importantly the food is made fresh. The two men traveled towns in South Texas, Mexican boarder towns, and New Mexico, to find the best Tex-Mex recipes. It is important that Chuy’s food is made fresh. They have amazing hand rolled tortillas, and they make their salsa fresh every hour. The amazing and fun menu is unique and will make your mouth water just reading over it. You can enjoy a great hand made signature drink or just a usual personal favorite. If you are having a party and want great food, you can order off of their great “Party to Go Menu”. The food is sure to be fresh and they have healthier choices of Mexican foods.

I thought I would slip in this sign up offer in the midst of this article. If you would like to get the occasional Tyler TX restaurant discount offer or coupon sent to your email just fill in your email address below. That’s it!

Chuy’s restaurant is a new and growing chain restaurant and its next stop is here in Tyler. Even though Tyler has so many restaurants, and a ton of the restaurants we do have are Mexican food; I think this will be a great new expansion to East Texas. Anyone who has eaten at a Chuy’s restaurant will be excited to have the restaurant open here.

Bed, Bath & Beyond

September 10th, 2010

Working with wedding registries can get pretty frustrating. Bed, Bath & Beyond is just as frustrating as any other registry. Shopping off a registry is more frustrating than making one. Although they me you a paper with a bar-code of the item, the section of the store that they are located, and even a picture of many of the things, I still managed to be completely confused on where to find the right items. Shopping off a registry reminds me of being a child on a scavenger hunt. I always came in last in scavenger hunts, which is probably my issue. I did find, however that the website registry is much easier to use.

Bed, Bath & Beyond is a great place to register for a wedding. It has a great verity of all your house needs and wants. Not only does the store carry all you cooking needs, but they also sale paintings, mirrors, rugs and all different wall décor. They have all you need for each room in your house. The great thing about registering at Bed, Bath & Beyond is that they have great ideas for bigger gifts and they have great gifts for a cheaper price. They also have free gift wrapping for all size presents.

When you are registering for your new home sometimes it is easy to over look some of the small important things. Like trash cans, scissors, office supplies, and small kitchen appliances. I recommend finding a wedding registry check list before going to the store. You most likely will end up with eight sets f silver wear or five toasters, because people forget to tell the cahier to take the item off your registry. If you are making a registry at more than one store, there is not reason to register for three toasters at one store and two at the other. Just pick the toaster, or microwave, or towel set that you like the most. You can create a Bed, Bath & Beyond registry online, which seems easier because you can see what you have already put on your list. Registering for your new home should not be a stressful or frustrating experience, have fun picking out gifts that you want people to buy you.

Bed, Bath & Beyond is definitely one of the best places in Tyler for a wedding registry. I just hope that your family and friends has an easier time finding the registry items than I did.

Waiter Surprise

November 10th, 2009

In the past I have written about my Olive Garden experiences, but because of my most recent visit to the well-know Italian restaurant I feel a need to re-write about the popular hotspot. I never really was very impressed with the moderate service that I endured.

This past week I was dining with my husband when a young man approached our table. He introduced himself to us and offered us a delicious wine, which we probably never would have ordered if he had not offered the small sample. Many times when I have eaten at Olive Garden I have had no idea what to order so I just order the usual. Even if I ask the waiter what they recommend, usually they just look at me like I have asked the most complicated question. But our waiter, Shaun, knew just what to order. I was impressed at his recommendations.

My drink was never empty, the delicious food was quickly delivered to our table, even though he had many other tables to tend to, our waiter never left us waiting on anything. Service is one of the most important things when going out to eat. Even if the food is great, I would not return to a restaurant if I have had terrible service. I was waiting for him to do something wrong so that I would not have to leave a large tip. My drink was almost empty, but the very moment that I drank the last sip of my glass he set down another drink.

I would not be writing this if it was not for my impression that a waiter actually did his job and much more. Next time I am dinning at Olive Garden I will wait the extra time just to be seated in Shaun’s section.
