Resistance Training Weight Loss
Many people, especially women, tend to avoid resistance training for the fear of bulking up too much. Resistance training, however, turns your body into a fat burning machine, particularly when combined with cardio exercises. The repair phase on days in between resistance workouts when your muscles heal themselves is really what gives the results, not how much resistance you use necessarily. It is important in resistance training to put quality over quantity, controlling each and every movement and performing the moves correctly.
Personal trainers in Tyler, Texas would be an excellent source for learning how to incorporate resistance training into your weekly weight loss regimen. Instructional videos are also good tools, just be sure to watch the entire workout and learn what to do before you attempt any of the exercises. Because building muscle boosts your metabolism, the more muscle mass you add the better the fat burning power your body has. Every pound of muscle mass will burn 50 calories a day just by being there!
If bulk is a concern, use lower weight resistance tools such as free weights or resistance bands, but be sure to use enough to challenge yourself. You should reach failure before you reach the maximum rep count; otherwise your weights are too light. Because muscle weighs more than fat, you may not see immediate results on the scale, but it won’t take long before you start seeing a difference in the tape measure and the way your clothes fit, and that’s what matters.

Alarms for the Elderly in Tyler Texas
Many years ago there was a very popular commercial on television of an elderly woman lying on the floor and crying, “Help! I’ve fallen and I can’t get up!” This went on to become a popular phrase that appeared in songs and on t-shirts. While it may have been amusing to many people, it was actually a very important lesson in how the right types of alarms can help elderly people remain independent for just a little while longer.
This particular alarm is made for elderly people living alone or with another elderly person. It’s worn on the body and is wired in to a center that monitors these alarms 24 hours a day 7 days a week. If the person wearing the alarm is in need of something, the response time is cut in half or more so. These alarms basically give the elderly person the freedom to continue living independently for as long as possible.
Elderly people in the city of Tyler, Texas have even more choices in alarms. There are alarms that will alert a caregiver when their patient has wandered out of the safe perimeter so that they can be returned before getting too far and getting lost. These are highly popular with home health workers, as it allows the elder their freedom while giving the worker confidence that a situation will not get out of control. These alarms could be life-savers for your elderly relative and any aging loved one determined to remain at home would benefit highly from having one.

Dallas Cowboys Head Coach
Jason Garrett is now the new head coach of the Dallas Cowboys.
Keep in mind he has been a star offensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys for many years.
He gave up several NFL team head coach offers to remain offensive coordinator.
Now that Jason is head coach it should make for some very interesting conversations as this has been a “what if” scenario for some time.
If Jason proves to do what many think he can he will finally settle the debate about whether he has what it takes to make the Cowboys into a great team.
I think this change will be good for the Dallas Cowboys and will give people another readon to continue their interest in watching the Cowboys try and change things around.
