Buffalo Wild Wings in Tyler Texas

Buffalo Wild Wings in Tyler TX

Being married to a dedicated sports fan, having young toddlers, and being a dedicated fan of pretty much any popular reality show, the arguing of what show to watch gets pretty ridiculous, and the DVR quickly fills up with shows you forget to delete.

But in my journey for answers for our issue, I came to realize that I am not the only person with this problem. Men are always forced to watch our movies and television shows. Women are annoyed at their husbands yelling at the television set and trying to chest bump the kids.

Why not send your husband somewhere that he can watch the game with other chest bumping crazed men?

At Buffalo Wild Wings the restaurant is covered wall to wall with giant television screens. I felt sorry for the company when Tyler started the smoking ban. The restaurant had a great idea for the issues of second hand smoke, two separate rooms.

People that smoke don’t have their rights taken away and people that do not smoke do not have to breathe it. But I will digress from declaring my personal opinions of human rights.

They have a great bar in the separated room. The two rooms are separated by a glass wall. The bar is great to hang out with your friends and they even have a couple arcade games.

But besides the drinks and full bar, video games, and large televisions, Buffalo Wild Wings has pretty good food. It definitely is not the best buffalo wings in town (if you are looking for the best wings in town, in my opinion, Wing Stop tops them all); but no matter they still are very satisfying and there is a great selection of sauces and meats. Have your own choice of boneless, or mild or honey barbeque.

If you are planning to go to Buffalo Wild Wings on a day that there is a big game, I recommend that you get there early because that small building gets full really fast. Also sit by the door because if you are trying to leave during the game you may have to climb over people, or at least feel like you are climbing over people.

I never have had an issue or a compliment about the service at the Tyler Buffalo Wild Wings, but I have had the worse service that I have ever had at any restaurant in my life, at the restaurant in Longview, about a year ago. Since my family and I had to endure that horrible service we are yet to return to the Longview restaurant.

I really recommend Buffalo Wild Wings in Tyler to meet up with friends and get a drink. But do not expect the best wings in the world there, but expect to make memories with your friends, and have a great time.

Genghis Grill in Tyler Texas

Tonight we tried out Genghis Grill in Tyler TX and even though I was instructed on exactly what to do by our waitress I still managed to not know what to do.

I picked up a couple of recipe cards and gave them to the cooks. They stared at me and I stared for a minute and then said, I’m stupid so what do I do I need some help.

They pointed me back to the buffet line that has all the raw ingredients like meat and vegetables.

So I got back in line with my recipe cards. As I went on through I felt a little Luby’s cafeteria pressure from the other patrons in line to keep a move on.

I ended up tossing in a few more things in my bowl then what the recipe called for and did my own thing.

It all ended up being cooked well and tasted great! I have no complaints and my son really like the peas in the pod and miniature corn things.

I like this place and will go back although I still like Oliveto a little better as my passion is Italian food and Oliveto does a very good job.

One complaint I do have is I wish the parking could be better. This commercial complex has terrible parking and I am always parking at the back of the place most of the time.

Wing Stop on the West Loop

June 20th, 2010

image1444672917.jpgWing Stop has become the place we pick up quick delicious food for family get togethers and events.

Let’s face it sometimes you’re too lazy to even throw a hot dog or chicken wing on the grill.

Let Wing Stop do some deep frying for you instead.

I like their hawian, lemon pepper, mild, and garlic parmesian flavored wings.

The vegi sticks help justify the bindge as you dunk them into ranch dip.

Their French fries are some of the best in town.

Eat here in their store or take it to go. They are good with in store and take out.

They have no trash cabs in the store and you end up using a lot of towels to clean your face and hands.

Simply throw the wadded towels on the floor and concentrate on eating these delicious wings.

There are two Wing Stop locations in Tyler, one by Albertsons on the loop and one on the West loop near hwy 64 and Wal Mart in Tyler.

Purple Pig in Noonday TX near Tyler

June 15th, 2010

image1240930164.jpgThe Purple Pig in Flint TX is one of my favorite bar-bq restaurants in the Tyler area.

What I usually get here is their chopped beef barbecue sandwich. My brother gets their pulled pork sandwich.

They have a large variety of sides and I like their barbeque rice and mac n cheese.

They have a very good weekend music venue outside by the Indian teepee.

It is definitely a restaurant in Tyler worth checking out.

Los Gueros Taqueria in Tyler My New Favorite

June 14th, 2010

image1366044308.jpgI have been eating lunch lately at Los Gueros Taqueria in Tyler.

I must say it is much better than the greesy stuff El Lugar has started selling at their new locations.

Los Gueros is over by the original Bruno’s Pizza location.

This place is packed at lunch time.

Not much of a secret anymore!
